If there is one aspect of the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War that fans are as excited about as the film itself, it is the post-credits scenes of the movie. The additional scenes have been a regular feature of MCU movies, right from the start. However, now the Russo Brothers have told us why we should hang around until the movie’s credits roll.

Recently during an interview, the Avengers: Infinity War makers faced a question whether the audiences should wait for the credits and they gave intriguing answers.

Uh, you might not have to,” Joe Russo said, and then his brother Anthony gave some more clarification.

“I will say this,” Anthony said. “There is a reason to stay for the credits. When the credits are coming up, you start to see card after card of movie star after movie star, and it just starts to go on and on and on and on. It’s like nobody’s ever seen, a list of actor names like that before at the end of a movie.”

Although the huge list comprising of actor names would be appealing, Joe Russo also said that it was worthy of waiting for, and it created doubts whether the movie will have any post-credits scenes at all. The directors had earlier stated that they were contemplating not to have any post-credits scenes at all, but, they were alert enough to avoid any spoilers.

“It’s hard to comment on that again because we don’t want to speak to the experience too specifically,” Anthony Russo informed Radio Times.

However, if what we wait for turns out to be the actual credits, then it would be a departure from the decade-long practice of MCU wherein they reveal extra scenes mid and post-credits which usually get the story moving towards the next movie. It is something that might turn out to be highly logical, especially if Avengers: Infinity War ends with Thanos getting hold of all the Infinity Stones and unleashing the destruction as a lot of fans have come to believe. It might also be logical to a great extent since Avengers 4 is releasing next year, and fans don’t have to wait too long for the next movie unlike how they had to wait for the other movies.

Eventually, Avengers: Infinity Warhas been shrouded in so much secrecy that it is impossible to avoid all spoilers and some of the reveals have included fake scenes and information leaked knowingly. There are various actors from the film who claim to have been given scripts  comprising of fake scenes and plot twists. Vision (Paul Bettany) even said that all the things that he had at the end of the script were not even true at all.

We will have to wait and watch whether there would be any post-credits scenes and if there are then what they depict. The film is barely days away from hitting the cinemas on Friday, April 27.
