Avengers 4 is probably not going to be the end of the saga for Thor. Earlier on Tuesday, the star Chris Hemsworth shared a video thanking fans for the great success of Avengers: Infinity War and also suggesting that he might not be hanging up Thor’s boots yet.
The actor acknowledged fans on Instagram after the huge opening that Avengers: Infinity War witnessed in China. “It was the biggest superhero film opening ever,” the actor said. “The film continues to smash records left right and center and, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: it’s all thanks to you guys,” Hemsworth added, appreciating the fans who support the MCU.
However, he had more to say. “Thank you so much, everyone who continues to support these characters and the Marvel Universe,” he went on and then stated “We’re going to keep trying to crank them out for you, if you let us,” apparently indicating that he is going to remain a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the long-run.
Since several actors have expired/are about to expire their contracts with Marvel, there have been numerous rumors about Avengers 4 being the final showdown for several original Avengers. But, if Chris Hemsworth’s words are an indication, the star is all set to appear as Thor as long as the fans want him to. And the response to Avengers: Infinity War proves that fans are definitely contemplating bidding farewell to the God of Thunder as of now.
In theaters now, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, PomKlementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie.
