Farrell had retweeted this news and described herself as “Aka: Mrs. Adam Nimoy.”
Farrell and Nimoy had gone public with their relationship last year and the news of their engagement had followed soon after.
Adam Nimoy was involved with the Star Trek franchise for many years and was an assistant to the director, Nicholas Meyer for Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and had directed two episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, “Rascals” and “Timescape.”
After the death of his father, Nimoy had kickstarted a documentary titled, ‘For the Love of Spock’. Nimoy was working on the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine documentary titled, ‘What We Left Behind,’ and this features interviews with the show’s stars.
Farrell had played Trill science officer, Jadzia Dax through 6 seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Jadzia was then killed off when Farrell had decided to exit the role to play Reggie Costas on the sitcom, Becker.
