Carey Hannah Mulligan is a British film actress and singer born on May 28, 1985, in Westminster, London. She studied at the International School of Düsseldorf, Germany and attended Woldingham School in Surrey. She became interested in acting after she saw her brother perform in a school production of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. She joined the chorus and started staging musicals, regular plays and workshops for young students.
