Elizabeth Debicki, 29, is an Australian actress born on 24 August 1990 in Paris, France. Her family moved to Melbourne, Australia when she was 5. She attended Hunting tower School in eastern Melbourne androgynous completed her majors from the University of Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts.
In 2011, she appeared in her debut movie A Few Best Men. She auditioned for the film The Great Gatsby and bagged the role of Jordan Baker. She appeared in the play The Maids with Cate Blanchett and Isabelle Huppert produced by the Sydney Theatre Company. She played a negative character in the movie The Man from U.N.C.L.E directed by Guy Ritchie.
She portrayed the leader of the Sovereign people, Ayesha in the Marvel Studios movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Debicki reprised her role in the sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. She won the AACTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in The Great Gatsby (2013). She also earned the nomination for the 14th Helpmann Awards for starring in the Sydney Theatre Company production of The Maids.
She was cast in hit movies like Macbeth (2015), The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), and Widows (2018). She appeared in the 2012 edition of Vogue Australia giving a bold photoshoot. She guest-starred in the third season of the Australian TV series Rake and appeared in a 13-minute short film, “Gödel, Incomplete”.
