After an unexpected exit at the end of Arrow’s seventh season, Emily Bett Rickards is officially back. Official photos from the series finale were revealed seemingly to reunite with her dead husband Oliver Queen. It’s still unclear how the finale will address Oliver’s death but their reunion is probably going to be an emotional one.
Emily Bett Rickards is 28, born on July 24, 1991, in Vancouver, British Columbia. She was interested in acting since her childhood and was enrolled at the Vancouver Film School for her Acting Essentials Program. She appeared in the music video for the Canadian rock band ‘Nickelback’ titled Never Gonna Be Alone. In 2012, she appeared in the short movie Bacon and Eggs followed by the Direct-to-video film ‘Flicka: Country Pride’ as ‘Mary Malone.
She was cast alongside Amanda Tapping, Robert Moloney, and Laura Bertram in the short film ‘Random Acts of Romance. In the American superhero TV series Arrow, she portrayed Felicity Smoak / Overwatch. Her character was based on the DC comics who played the role of a computer nerd who fights alongside the protagonist of the show to save the Star City. Initially, she was signed for one season only eventually she was given a regular role by the Warner Brothers team.
She appeared in Arrowverse reprising her role of Felicity Smoak / Overwatch. In the 2016-17 season of four episodes, she appeared in Legends of Tomorrow followed by her appearance in series Supergirl of episode Crisis on Earth X, Part 1’. She was cast alongside Haley Ramm playing the character of Kristen Rose in the family drama film ‘Cowgirls ‘n Angels: Dakota’s Summer. In 2015, she appeared in Brooklyn as Patty McGuire. Emily has not yet received any lead role but she continues to play a supportive role in movies like Cowgirls ‘n Angels: Dakota’s Summer’, ‘Brooklyn’, and ‘Funny Story’.
