Han Solo Movie’s First Day Ticket Sales Unexpectedly Defeated Black Panther’s

Tickets for latest Solo: a Star wars movie went on sale on May 4th, and has already surpassed the presales of Marvel’s Black Panther in its first 24 hours. The Solo presales are second only to Infinity War, which went on sale March 16th. Star Wars fans have been eagerly awaiting the pre-sale tickets.

The wait for Solo pre-sale tickets was over on Star Wars Day. The Lucasfilm spin-off kicked off with the tickets going on sale along with a 360 degree VR experience video that gave Star Wars fans a unique view into some of the scenes for the upcoming flick.

Also, every Star Wars fan who bought a ticket received a complimentary, exclusive Solo: A Star Wars Story movie poster.

The company had done similar promotions with Rogue One, The Force Awakens, and The Last Jedi for last several years. They are also offering a Solo themed, limited edition, gift card that features exclusive artwork from the movie.

News of Solo’s pre-sale tickets beating Black Panther is just the start of how successful the upcoming spin-off could become. It was reported that the movie is expected to make over $170 million on its opening weekend.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is quite possibly proving that fans who have been criticising the film were also first in line to purchase pre-sale tickets
