In 1998 after Melrose Place’s cancellation Heather was seen in Spin City. Later she played the role of a single mother in NBC sitcom named One Around the Park. The show was not much admired by the audience. Heather was back to television again in 2004. Heather also played roles in Uptown Girls, The Perfect Man and The Assistants.

Heather got married to drummer Tommy Lee in 1986. The couple got separated in August 1993. Later Heather married Richie Sambora on 17 December 1994 and got divorced in April 2007.
