Léa Seydoux is a French actress born on July 1, 1985, in Paris, France. As a child, she wanted to be an opera singer but her parents were not keen on supporting their daughter in an artistic field. She kept her busy with the world of art and entertainment after the divorce of her parents. Léa decided to become an actress after she turned 18 years old.
She went to Les Enfants Terribles, a French drama school and soon moved to New York to learn professional acting. Her debut role was a lead role in the French movie Girlfriends. Her second movie La Consolation was showcased at the ‘Cannes Film Festival’ in 2007. She was recognized as a talented actor after her portrayal in 13 French Street and The Last Mistress.
Léa won several honors for her performance ina French film titled The Beautiful Person (2008). The film was critically acclaimed and went on to win the Chopard Award’ at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2009, she appeared in war drama ‘Inglourious Basterds by Quentin Tarantino. The film was based on the second world war and it turned out to become one of the most critically and commercially successful movies. She was cast in Robin Hood alongside superstar Russell Crowe. She portrayed an assassin in the 2011 movie Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.
She portrayed the role of a lesbian art student named Emma in her most successful movie Blue Is the Warmest Colour. Léa won several accolades and a lot of international fame for her scintillating performance. In 2014, she appeared in a couple of movies like Beauty and the Beast and Hollywood comedy ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel. She has appeared in ad campaigns for ‘Prada’ and Louis Vuitton and is also the brand ambassador of jewelry line Didier Dubot.
