Mae Margaret Whitman is a super talented actress and singer from America who is famous for her notable role of Ann Veal on the Fox sitcom Arrested Development and Amber Holt on the NBC drama Parenthood. She made her debut with When a Man Loves a Woman in 1994. She featured as a supporting actress in several movies such as One Fine Day (1996), Independence Day (1996), and Hope Floats (1998). She had other supporting roles in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) and The Perks of Being a Wallflower released in 2012.
She appeared as a lead actress in The DUFF (2015). She currently plays the role of Annie Marks in Good Girls (2018–) on NBC. She also worked as a voice artist in the number of animated movies like American Dragon: Jake Long, Shanti in The Jungle Book 2, Katara in Avatar: The Last Airbender, Tinker Bell in Disney Fairies. She is the only child of voice artist Pat Musick and set construction coordinator Jeffrey Whitman.
She started her professional career at the age of two with a voice-over for a Tyson Chicken commercial. She played a rebellious and willful teen Amber Holt in NBC’s version of the Ron Howard’s classic Parenthood. She played the negative character of Roxy Richter in Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. She was cast alongside Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller in the 2012 film The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
She appeared in three episodes of season three of Lisa Kudrow’s Web Therapy alongside Darren Criss. She featured alongside Christina Hendricks and Retta in dramedy Good Girls which will be renewed for a third season in 2020. She appeared in the music video by Tegan and Sara titled “I Was a Fool” and “Boyfriend”. She featured along with Landon Pigg in the song “Gardenia”.
