Mariska Hargitay is a renowned American actress best known for her role as Olivia Benson in the NBC hit series, ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’. She was born in Los Angeles to former-actress, Jayne Mansfield and former Mr. Universe, Mickey Hargitay. She attended Marymount High School and was a part of the student government, cheerleading, and theatre. She went to the UCLA theatre program after completing her graduation in 1982.
She was crowned as Miss Beverly Hills USA in 1982 and started appearing in several TV commercials.
