Melissa Roxburgh is a Canadian actress who played the female lead Ensign Syl in the 2016 film Star Trek Beyond, and Olivia Tanis in The Marine 4: Moving Target. She is popular for her roles in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules. She currently features in the 2018 NBC television series Manifest as Michaela Stone. She began acting in Vancouver after graduating from high school. She soon earned her first major role as Rachel in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.
She also appeared in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid sequel Dog Days as Heather Hills. She featured in a variety of roles like Jeni in Leprechaun: Origins, Ensign Syl in Star Trek Beyond and other big-time movies. She appeared as Thea in The CW’s drama series Valor and Supernatural spinoff, Bloodlines. She has a passion for traveling as she traveled to Africa, Albania, and Guatemala on mission trips with her family. She started taking interest in social justice issues serving as a GenR Leader for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) which helps people in extreme humanitarian crises.
