Ryan Reynolds Asks James Gunn About A Guardians of The Galaxy And Deadpool Crossover

The event of a crossover between the X-Men and the MCU might not really be a possibility any time soon but this is not stopping the Deadpool actor, Ryan Reynolds from asking Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn for a crossover.

This had started when Gunn the director had posted that he saw Deadpool 2 and loved it and he tagged the actors.

If there would be an opportunity for Deadpool to cross paths with the MCU, there is only one team that is fit to do so. Deadpool’s hilarious tone will surely match with the Guardians. The Merc with a mouth and Rocket seem like they would be a great pair. Deadpool 2 is an R-rated movie as compared to Guardians of the Galaxy’s PG-13.

While it is very exciting to know that Gunn is interested in this crossover, it may not come to s fruition. Disney is now looking to buy Fox and this a move tantalized all the fans as there was a possibility that this deal may bring the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and the MCU under one hood.

We also have the matter of how feasible a crossover would be, story-wise. After Thanos’s finger snap in Avengers: Infinity War most of the Guardians do not exist.

Deadpool 2 is currently in theaters. The X-Men movie universe will continue when X-Men: Dark Phoenix opens February 14, 2019, followed by The New Mutants on August 2, 2019.
