Yet again, Jimmy  Kimmel is apparently the instigator here. Kimmel sent a congratulatory message to Affleck on a victory for “Team Batman” after Affleck apparently let go of Damon’s friendship to Hemsworth in place of Kimmel’s friendship.

“Wow. Another big win for #TeamBatman!” Kimmel tweeted. “Sorry Matt, I’m sure this is a Thor thubject. #Iwilltakeeveryoneyoulove”

Hemsworth warned that the rift might no longer be confined to words, but, action, stating that he won’t be making his upcoming appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live for the mistake.

“Hey @jimmykimmel sounds like you’ve chosen your side,” Hemsworth tweeted. “Guess I’m not coming on your show this week. Good luck finding another Avenger named Chris.”

The latest war began when an article appeared stating that Damon had chosen Hemsworth over Affleck as his best friend. Affleck tried playing it down and behaved as if he was cool to let Damon go.

“Hey @chrishemsworth, you can have him!” Affleck Tweeted. “I’m Team @JimmyKimmel anyways.”

Hemsworth replied to Affleck and left it up to Kimmel to make the next move.

“Sorry mate not my fault!” Hemsworth replied on Twitter. “He’s just a big @Marvel fan, not @DCComics. How do you like them apples.😘 @Jimmykimmel the ball is in your court. Choose wisely…”

For a long time now, Damon has been the subject of Kimmel’s barbs. Damon also played a cameo in Thor: Ragnarok starring Hemsworth, which Kimmel used to hit at Damon during a Ben Affleck interview, who was campaigning for Justice League.

“That’s so sad though in a way that you went on to become Batman,” Kimmel joked. “Not only didn’t he get to become Robin, he’s like begging for little bit parts in Thor. He’s like Loki Jr. in Thor.”

In case he does make an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Hemsworth would be appearing to promote Avengers: Infinity War.

Avengers: Infinity War hits the theaters on the coming Friday. Other MCU releases coming up include Ant-Man and the Wasp on July 6th, Captain Marvel on March 8, next year and the Avengers 4 on May 3, 2019, Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel on July 5, 2019, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.
